About

Born in Quito, Ecuador, moving to Miami at age 2, and then moving back home to Quito at age 11, Carolina Espinosa has developed as a creative through experiencing different environments and absorbing the best of each, growing into a design creative. Enriched with extravagant works of Baroque architecture, such as the monasteries of San Francisco and Santo Domingo, Quito is a city of historical preservation like no other. Carolina has been exposed the best of both worlds: Ecuadorian’s one-of-a-kind design culture and its roots, as well as the innovative architectural expressions in the overgrowing city of Miami.

In a liberal arts high school, she developed into an admirer of art in all of its forms, becoming very involved in the art department and taking advantage of elective courses such as photography, design, sculpture, and AP art. She acknowledges how exploring all of these creative fields give a positive impact in the formation of a creative individual. Now pursuing her Master’s of Interior Architecture at Florida International University, Carolina’s ultimate goal is to offer the world a fresh outlook on the way a concept can determine how an interior space forms human experience, and how the meticulous use of light and color can evoke emotion. Design has endless possibilities, and that is the true beauty of it.
